latest force. Even good afternoon. Good afternoon to Marco this hurricane was huge when it made landfall so big that it basically

covered the peninsula that is the state of Florida and you have to remember it was a hurricane

when it made landfall on the west coast of Florida.

It was still a hurricane when it went off on the east coast of Florida and the damage is

widespread. It started before the hurricane even landed with tornadoes popping up

everywhere and then the hurricane making landfall the wind, the rain, the water

that came. 3.2 million households do not have power right now in the state of Florida and they are just

now beginning to assess the damage.

Victor O'Kendo is in Sarasota, Florida very close to where that hurricane made

landfall Victor.

Even we are right at the entrance to Siesta Key, Hurricane Milton making landfall

just on the other side of that bridge there and right now the

sheriff's office here in Sarasota County they're blocking any cars from

entering but what is happening if you look over here to my right, you'll see residents, people eager to go check on their homes, and they're able to walk across that bridge.

Now at this point, we have been out here all morning long, and we've heard the same thing from every

single resident who's crossed back over they've told us they feel lucky it's not as

bad as Helene I had one person tell me it looks like it's in great shape all things considered so

that is definitely some good news there but we have not been able to cross that

bridge ourselves just yet we have checked in with the county they told us that
