We do want to start the Memorial Day weekend, travel

crush that is getting underway from the roads to the skies. Americans will be on the move

So the FAA is expecting a record number of travelers, and today will likely be the busiest day at the airport.

Nearly 54,000 planes will be in the sky.

AAA is predicting more than 3.6 million air travelers over the Memorial Day weekend.

And we just got new numbers from the TSA.

They expect to screen 18 million passengers and crew, and that includes those taking multiple

flights.

And here at Newark Liberty International Airport, they're actually slashing the number of flights

following several incidents with air traffic control and those staffing shortages.
