It's the middle of the night in a small town on the Jersey shore.

Someone reports an abandoned car on a bridge.

A search gets underway for the missing driver, 19-year-old Sarah Stern.

Is it a missing person? Is it a suicide?

At this point, nobody knows.

Old friendships, buried cash, and a sinister plot that was once pitched as a movie, plays out in real life.

We have to talk about the weather.

Here in New York City, it's been really wild.

Severe weather in the Midwest.

It was struck overnight.

We're even seeing some of the damage, just heartbreaking to see people losing it all. Ginger is here, and Ginger, it was in the 80s the other day here in New York City. And today, it's back to the cold. Yeah, from the earliest 80-degree temperature on record to now snow. So it's very big slap in the face for a lot of folks. But in between, you did have those severe storms. Look at those records, though. Even Burlington, Vermont yesterday made it into the low 70s. You know, in Raleigh, they were nearly 90 degrees. And then look what happens by tomorrow morning. So just 36 hours later, we're sub-freeze in Washington, D.C. and New York City, teens up in Lake Placid.

So back to reality and even below average, because we've got some winter storms to talk about.

Big time wind in the northern Rockies and plains, fire danger in the plains.

And then the Great Lakes, you notice that brown color.

That's for wind with the first storm. That one comes through here Friday into Saturday. You can see it kind of sliding.

The heaviest snow would be up in, say,

northern Wisconsin and Michigan, but then there's a second one.

And this one is big, and it's going to hit places
