Ahead, all eyes on the high seas with the cruise industry on course for a record-setting year. We're going to look at what's behind the demand and check out the world's largest cruise ship as it sails on its maiden voyage. You won't believe how much stuff is on this. It looks incredible. And the action, of course, heating up at the U.S. Open as it enters its second week. we have a look at the Americans still in the mix. That's coming up.

That is, but first we are going to begin here with the race to return from the Labor Day holiday with flights delayed and canceled across the country.

Hey, good to see you, Gio, those severe thunderstorms and showers which cause troubles for some travelers yesterday are expected in the forecast again today, but so far, no direct impact on flight operations as far as we can tell.

Here in Atlanta, especially, things are moving along just fine.

However, they did create some problems yesterday. The FAA had to

delay or ground hundreds of flights due to the weather in Texas, severe thunderstorms causing

travel headaches and forcing temporary ground stops in Houston. For a time there, the FAA also issuing

ground stops in Miami and Fort Lauderdale due to torrential rains.

On the roads, drivers caught in floodwaters.
