We're going to start with surging gas prices.

It's hard to find a deal there, now higher than they've been in four years and having an impact beyond just the gas station with no end in sight to the war with Iran. Elizabeth Shulsey is in Washington with the latest on these. Elizabeth, what's the latest? Hey, Rhiannon, well, these gas prices are rising at a breakneck pace. The national average, now $4.41. That's up 11 cents in 24 hours, up $1.47 now since the start of the Iran War. In California, we are seeing averages above $6 a gallon.

Prices also searching in Great Lake states like Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana. And then you have diesel approaching all-time highs.

That translates into higher costs for everything from shipping to farming to grocery prices. Moody's

Analytics says when you add it all together, the typical household will pay $1,400 extra in gas and diesel if oil stays at this level for a year. And that is already forcing

some households to make tradeoffs. Our new ABC News, Washington Post Ipsos poll, finds that 44%

of Americans say they cut back on their driving because of higher gas and 42% cut other expenses.
