And we begin with the urgent quest for answers in that tragic Washington air crash. The black boxes,

which are the voice and data recorders, are now in the hands of NTSV investigators. They were pulled from the American

Airlines plane and transported in the same river water to preserve their integrity. An early focus

of the investigation is the Black Hawk helicopter's altitude, which was apparently higher than normal.

And we're learning more about the victims of that crash. 67 lives lost.

Flight attendant Ian Epstein, a father and husband, Elizabeth Keyes, killed on her 33rd birthday,

who was coming home early from a business trip. Kea Duggins, a civil rights attorney, set to become a professor at Howard University Law School in the fall.

And the U.S. figure skating world morning at least 14 athletes, coaches and family members on that flight.

And now to the wet weather headed east and atmospheric rivers here in the west. Here's our Ginger Z.

It's been a wet, relatively warm day in the Northeast.

That's going to keep moving through the Mid-Atlantic too, and then we will eventually
