We do start here today with that bitter cold.

The temperatures in the Midwest and Northeast, wind chills in single digits across much of the region and another wet day along the West Coast.

Ginger is here now with us to help break it all down.

It feels like winter should be over.

It does. Like we really have had very little winter the last couple years and so it's all been a lot to handle.

And this afternoon we're still dealing with the wind chills in the 20s in New York City. And if you go ahead and look at some of the others on the map there, you're going to see temperatures that are struggling to be out of the single digits if you're closer to the lakes where they're producing one to three feet of additional lake of snow for a place like us. We go. And we are going to see some light at the end of this tunnel. If you wanted some warmth next week, this is the forecast. So likely above normal, almost everywhere, east of the Rockies. We will be talking about temperatures in the 40s here in New York City. And then we have to talk about the West Coast. San Diego had more than two inches of rain in one day. That is a month's worth and more in one day. So that's a lot of rain. And now we've got this wet pattern as we go into the weekend. It's going to be really windy at the coast, too, place like Half Moon Bay. Perhaps could see gusts easily over 50 miles per hour. Around the Bay area, a lot of rain, but the heaviest totals will end up closer to Eureka or Fort Bragg. As we go through Monday, you're also going to see two to four feet of snow in the Sierra Nevada. Earlier this week, we were saying, pray for Florida. It looks like that's actually going to happen now. Yeah. Not too worried about them anymore. Thanks so much, Ginger. Now to the urgent search for clues in the killings of a dentist and his wife in Columbus, Ohio, the couple was found shot to death. There are two children unharmed. Ike Ajachi here with the details. Ike, this is so disturbing. This is really a heartbreaking and mysterious case in Ohio. A well-known dentist and his wife

found shot to death inside their home. Their two young children just steps away but unharmed.

And right now police are saying they are working around the clock to find out who did it and why.

They're two small children inside but unharmed.

Police responding to the Columbus Ohio residents of 37-year-old Dr. Spencer Tepey and his

wife, 39-year-old Monique, around 9.30 a.m. Tuesday, after his boss

called in a welfare check when he didn't show up to work. He is always on time. This is very out of

character. And we can't get in touch with his wife, which is probably the more concerning thing.

Police knocking on the door, but no answer. About a half hour later, concerned friends showed up and called

911 again. I can hear kids inside, and I swear I think I heard one yell, but we can't get in.

Moments later, a friend calling authorities back saying he could see Spencer's body inside the home.

There's a body. He's laying next to his bed off of his bed in this blood.

Police say this does not appear to be a murder suicide, and there were no signs of forced entry.
