I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and it's that time of year. Good morning, Eva. So many kids are ready to dye those Easter eggs. Some bad news, though. As demand gets higher, so are the prices. Now they are soaring to a new record of $6.23 per dozen. The new numbers reported yesterday in the Consumer Price Index,

and they're no surprise to shoppers who have been watching these costs creep up for months now.

But analysts expected to start seeing a drop after those wholesale prices fell sharply in March.
