I've got something here that you don't ever want to turn down

Yes, crew, a very warm welcome along and yeah, can you believe it.

Episode 400, the Glitterbox radio show Welcome.

An idea that was birthed in 2016, myself and Simon Dunmore over a coffee on Curtin Road,

and the first show aired in 2017.

The message from day one was always clear.

Create an hour of uplifting music, celebrating classics, obscure gems, future anthems, whilst interviewing

some of the most formidable and iconic figures from our scene.

Yes, we shared some radio confetti moments from the likes of Alison Limerick, Sheik,

Donna Summer, Teddy Pendergrass and Sylvester, but the breadth of the

music has always been key.

I always say Glitterbox has never been about a genre, it's a feeling.

An environment where it's not out of place to hear a David Bowie record played next

to sounds of blackness, Prince next to floor plan, Whitney next to Masters

at Work, or Grandmaster Flash next to Darth Punk. In addition to the breadth of music played

on this radio show, breaking new music, as I always say, has been fundamental. We've given first

plays to future anthems from the likes of Purple Disco Machine, Honey Dijon, the Shapeshifters, The Vision, Jada G, Crazy P.
