This was from the combine yesterday.

We start with Aaron Glenn.

So you have this narrative that's been out there that Woody Johnson is the one that I guess, hey, I'm paying you a lot of money.

It didn't work last year with Steve Wilkes.

You call the plays this year.

Here was Glenn yesterday refuting that whole notion.

Here's how Woody operates in this situation.

I have an opportunity to go in there and speak with him about my vision on how I see the coaching staff, my vision on how I see the team.

And Woody's answer is always, what can I do to help you?

What can I do to help you be successful?

And I feel fortunate to be in a position to have an owner that operates that way.

So I would really like that narrative

to change that he's in ball. He's trying to force me or move to do certain things. We believe this?

I do. I, I, um, because other coaches have said the same thing. It's just when Woody loses his

patience over something is when all hell breaks loose. So right now he's trying to, you know, be patient and trying to be supportive. I think that he was that way with Rob Sala. I think he was that way with Adam Gays. I think he was that way with Todd Bowles. Okay, fair enough. I think he supported him, spent a lot of money, gave them everything that they wanted, and it didn't work out, and then the mob, the fan base. Well, the one thing I would like to know specifically is, was it not Woody Johnson who screwed up that whole Wink-Martindale thing? Or was it Aaron Glenn who screwed the whole thing? So here is Glenn on that. As a matter of fact, because I saw that as well um he was asked why was wink brought in and

then all of a sudden it fell apart he said the first round of interviews were just on zoom to kind

to get to know one another when wink came for the direct uh face-to-face interview this is where

the clip picks up and when i brought wink in and told him that, man, he would still go.

But then again, as I thought about the whole situation, man,

Brian Duke would be with me for three years.

Man, he'd been through the fire with me to win.

Man, we were not a team that brought a lot of defensive guys early into Detroit.
