That makes me tend to leave my sleep and back rolled up and stashed behind your couch

And it's knowing I'm not shackled by forgotten words and puns and the

exchange that are dried upon some line

That keeps you in the back roads by the rivers of my memory

It keeps you ever gentle on my mind

It's not clinging to the rocks and ivy planted on their columns now that find me

Some of the prettiest songwriting

There are some songs that don't have big guitar riffs

They may not have even had the right people sing them to make them as big a hit as they could have been

Or maybe they're just not really that big a hit, so just great storytelling

Great lyrics, great writing, great poetry

People tell me, I just don't like poetry

You like music?

Oh, I love music

Give me the lyrics of your favorite song

And they can rattle them off every single word

That's poetry, my friend

It's just poetry with music underneath it

sung by somebody with his hair all sprayed up, teased up, real big
