Summary

There are loads of music festivals these days. But the one that still stands out, that is special somehow, is Glastonbury. What started as a party on a farm for 1500 revellers nearly half a century ago has become the most iconic festival in the world, attended by 200 thousand people. How did that happen? And can the spirit of community and environmentalism the festival espouses teach us lessons for the modern world? 1:14.0	I think there's something about Glastonbury.
1:17.0	I mean there are loads of festivals these days,
1:19.0	but, Glastonbury for some reason stands out.
1:22.0	If you're going to go to one festival it's kind of you
1:25.1	may as well just go big and make it Glastonbury and I think another thing is that
1:27.7	it's so hard to get tickets you get a ticket it's like it's like the golden ticket you've got to go. So yeah, it's
1:36.3	um so it's just really fun. Next year will be 50 years of Glastonbury and
1:41.5	it started out as this tiny little festival didn't it?
1:44.8	You look at it now.
1:45.8	1500 people at the first Blastonbury, 200,000 now.
