Sin is not a word we like to invoke. In fact for many people this word embodies an archaic notion that has no place in the woke vocabulary of our times.

But there's no denying the regret we feel and the weight of guilt and shame that follows when we make a bad decision.

Whether it's an irrational response or a gesture of selfishness,

those personal failings are rooted in sin.

Today on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall continues a message he introduced on the previous

program. He's talking about giving thanks for God's forgiveness. us.

We're so glad our father that we arose and came to Jesus, we're so glad our father that we arose

and came to Jesus, sick, sore, broken, guilty, ashamed.

We're even more glad, our father, that you would accept us and forgive us.

Today, we exult in both. Thank you for your grace to forgive those of us who have come to you each one

undeserving, unworthy. And because of that, we are cleansed, forgiven. are

forgiven, renewed, and redirected in our journey

from Earth to heaven.

You are our God and we together this week especially give you

our thanks.

For home and family, for country and Constitution,

for warriors who defend us and faithful servants of God who prepare us for the life beyond.

Use these gifts to further the cause

of our matchless Savior,

our Lord,

our forgiving, faithful friend in his name we pray, everyone said, amen. Amen.
