And when you were 13 years old, what was your world of music?

Elvis Presley, and rock and roll at 13, that's when it happened for me.

In your life was at the same thing when you were 13.

I'm, you know, 10 years older than John about, you know,

so it's a different generation.

I'm sitting essentially about where I was at the time,

and if I take a look at the bed I can imagine them there.

I mean I can look at that bed and close my eyes and I can Francine Jones. In 1969, I was an assistant public relations officer at the Queen Elizabeth

Hotel in Montreal, visits from head of state, important

people and celebrities were commonplace and I sort of took it for granted.

But there was one guest or more precisely two guests, a couple who were different.

Newly wedged John Lennon and Yoko Ono had decided to hold the second of their now famous

bed-ins-for-peace at our hotel and the world was captivated. You're listening to giving peace a

Well, it's now easy to come in here today because on May 27, 1969, just walking from this elevator to the year, there were hundreds of people. You just came in and say, okay, I want to see John Lennon and they would let you in.

It was crazy, as we say in French, it was the Bordell.

I'm back at the hotel where I worked exactly 50 years ago to meet some other people who became

part of this peace protest.
