Hey everyone, welcome to Giants Talk.

I'm Cole Kuiper here with Alex Pavlovich. The second half of the season is about to start. We wrapped up the first half. And that means Alex and I have to pay the Piper. So we're going to hand out some first half awards, talk about some first half surprises. And then we're going to revisit the bold predictions we made back in the

preseason. And man, if you thought last year's bold predictions were bad, buckle up. But then,

of course, chance for redemption, double or nothing. We're going to make some new predictions

for the second half of the year. Let's get into it. But first, Giant's Talk is presented by Wendy's

All right, Alex, let's start with awards. Awards, awards, and not awards related to

best breakfast sandwich. We're talking Giants Awards. First category, who is the Giants MVP?

I voted for Carlos Rodon. That would be my vote. They have two all-stars, obviously.

And I think the thing with me for Carlos is one, just like,

what gives me, what should give Giants fans hope is that they are very close to a wild

cards, but, or they have been for most of the first half, even when they've been bad. So,

it's still very realistic for them. And the way that Rodan has pitched, you kind of imagine them,

even in a playoff series with Rodan and Webb. Like, it's still pretty good. So that's

a reason for hope. And I just think when you look at how bad they've been for most of May,

June, and July, kind of the savior has been April and how good they were early on. And he was

a huge part of that. First stick starts as giant

1.8 ERA, 35 innings, 53 strikeouts. So just think he's been really consistent, has been
