That was, you may recall that delightful video enjoyed by virtually everyone who has a conscience

of a would-be thief in Stockton, California getting a beat down from a couple of 7-11 clerks.

The reaction of the video practically universally positive.

And you know why? Because people, you, me, those clerks,

they don't want to live in a society that is lawless.

They don't want to see somebody break the law, break the social compact,

the rules of God and man, and get away with it over and over and over again.

It pisses you off and it makes you sick.

And I think I can't remember one or more of those clerks may have had an ownership interest in the store.

I don't quote me on that. I thought I'd seen that, but...

And they weren't having it anymore.

A couple of things you need to know is the story is developed.

That suspected shoplifter is a freaking shoplifter.

I realize, you know, the New York Post, for instance, that I'm going to quote,

he hasn't been convicted of anything.

And, you know, I appreciate their deference to the innocent until proven guilty law.
