Today's tip is to give plants as gifts.

With the right mindset,

plants can combine the best of giving someone flowers with the

upsides of longer lasting gifts.

So if you are going to someone's house for a party, the odds are good that you are giving

wine or flowers. And it makes sense. People can serve wine even if they don't drink it,

and flowers are pretty. But if you are looking

for something beyond that or just something to give as a Christmas or birthday

present, even to someone who is difficult to shop for, consider a living plant.

Yep, a regular house plant, like you can find in a nursery or a place like Lowe's or Home Depot.
