staggeringly we're still in PMante though the race has been in the region of

PMante ever since it started and today's stages are all in Pia Monte. In fact tomorrow it starts in Pia Monte and then finishes in Lugoria which is the next region that we'll cross into in our expanding journey through Italy.

This part of Piamante, I mean this part of Italy really, one of the historical acts that

was scored into its history is of course Napoleon marching as troops through here in

1896 and in fact that's all it a bit like Dick Turpin back home in the UK

Napoleon's sort of personal journey through this part of Italy is marked in lots of places.
