It's a Tudel-Tudel Tuesday fanlathers and though the snow may be gone from the beautiful

shore of our Lake Lacheno, there's still plenty to look forward to some skinny men

are bicycling into town today, stage 4 of the Giro d'Italia rolls in, so expect traffic

delays on all approaches, queues at the checkout in the local spa and heavy littering.

Well, I wake up in Kapolezi up in the hills, the happenings, not that far actually, just

maybe a hundred kilometres or so from Naples, cross back into Campania, just north of

Besselecata, it's rainy, it's damp, it's drizzly, it sees that however, if you can kind

of imagine the clouds away, very, very beautiful up here and pretty remote as well and has its

own completely identifiable and different character. We stayed the night in this hesitate

to call it a hotel, although I suppose it was, but it was more a kind of accommodation

block, a little bit mildly we run down to be honest with hundreds of rooms, built quite

specifically to accommodate pilgrims who make their way, I would imagine, in their

droves during the summer months in particular to Kapolezi, because it's quite a holy place,

quite specifically because it's the place of the where San Gerardo Maiella lived and died

and where he, where the miracles that were escrowed to his lifetime in the early 18th century

believed to have taken place. So San Gerardo Maiella was the son of a tailor and had an interesting

life working with the poor in Naples, always giving away all that he could to help the poor.

He then did a variety of things and ended up becoming the chief of the works in Kapolezi,

which is this hilltop town in these wooded hillsides, very steep wooded hillsides on some
