Good morning everybody it's the morning of stage 12 you can hear the motorway

perhaps in the background and mercifully you can't hear the pattern of

raindrops as the rain has eased a little it's been raining all morning still

quite early in the morning I was going to record some some travel news but not

going to today because the actual news it's pretty it's pretty bleak in Italy

at the moment I hadn't appreciated because I was so wrapped up in the race

bubble yesterday the what I've been going on not far from here and just a few

days ago we were we were in Emilio or Mania where the heavy rainfall has caused

serious flooding and loss of life in Bologna in Chesa now where the

time trial was just as recently as Sunday that wet time trial well search for

yourselves that if you if you want to the scenes of devastation there as the

whole town has been flooded by large and bridges have been washed away it's

it's extraordinary and the weather forecast is not good for the remainder of the

week although it could be getting warmer so I'm going to swerve the travel

news today but let me just paint a picture apparently I've stayed in this

hotel before according to Masi although I have no recollection of it whatsoever

apparently it was after commentating on one edition of the of Milano Torino

that finished in the amazing hunting lodge of Stupiniji just to the west of

Turin we are in just on the outskirts of Rivali and I've got a thing or two to

say about Rivali coming up just to the west of Turin at a a huge hotel just

off the motorway not particularly picturesque but in the distances these
