repeatedly climbing and the great city of Turin the former capital the first ever

capital of the United Kingdom of Italy just laid out in front of me to the right of the river as I look at it and in the distance and the near distance at that the

vertiginous site of the snow-covered Alps with a light cloud just

floating across the jagged peaks that are still heavily, heavily covered in snow.

I arrived a couple of days ago.

The race starts tomorrow, and I can't wait.
