It's a cold wet October day in the quaint ski town of Girdwood, Alaska.

I'm making my way up Crow Creek Road, a bumpy gravel artery cut through thick rainforest in a steep rivercut valley.

Surrounded by rugged glacier-capped peaks and bookendedended by State Park and National Forest Land,

Gerdwood is an adventurer's dream, drawing skiers, hikers, and climbers alike.

But I'm not out here to hike or ski today.

I'm here thinking about how in the summer of 1995,

a young woman named Aaron Marie Gilbert came to Girdwood to attend a festival and disappeared,

never to be heard from or seen again.

Been 23 years since a young woman vanished while on a trip to Gurdwood.

You know, she was such a strong person.

I'm sure she fought like crazy, and it really caught her off guard, whoever did this to her.

If someone wants to disappear, they can do it.

If someone wants to make someone disappear, they can do it.

The main thing that made it stand out is she was with a man who seemed to not match up with her.

We just don't know what happened to her.

It's a number of scenarios could have transpired.
