We're dealing with a very sophisticated adversary.

At this stage, we've seen substantial evidence that points to the Russian Foreign Intelligence

Agency and we have found no evidence that leads us anywhere else.

So we'll wait for the rest of the formal steps to be taken by the government and others,

but there's not a lot of suspense at this moment in terms of what we're talking about.

That's Brad Smith, the CEO of Microsoft, talking about the Solar Winds hack, which is the greatest

hack in the history of hacking.

I remember we talked about it quite a bit two, three weeks ago and 60 minutes featured it.

That's when I learned the most about it, how devastating it was.

I think they talked to him on that program.

Microsoft has, I forget how many people dedicated to it now, 500 engineers or something like that,

trying to figure out how to stop it because it's ongoing.

It's still happening around me.

I'm sorry, he's the CEO these days of Microsoft.

A president of Microsoft, I don't know if there's a distinction between those two.

I'm also currently serving as chief legal officer, but I remember him saying on 60 minutes

about how this was high quality hack.

This took some serious, serious doing.

Well, here's some more of that.

The scale of this attack or hack or penetration or whatever we should call it.

And Microsoft, as we worked with customers that had been impacted by this, we stepped

back and just analyzed all of the engineering steps that we had seen.
