Hi, y'all. Welcome or welcome back to Gilmore to Read. I'm your host, Haley, and I'm so glad you're here today.

It has been a second since we had an episode of Gilmore to read. We skipped

January for the book club because I feel like all of us really needed to skip January, but now

we are back into the swing of the book club. But before we get into this episode with my

positively darling guest, Julian Winters, I wanted to talk about how things are switching up for

2026 and beyond. So rather than

hosting both Gilmore to read book clubs at the same time, we're going to be switching between

the monthly. So on month, we'll have Reading a Sexy, our Gilmore-inspired romance-specific club,

where we read books that feel like the show, and then the next month we'll read with where

you read, I will follow, where we read books that we might have read on And then the next month we'll read with where you read I Will Follow, where we read books that Rory might have read on the show,

books that she would read today, general or literary fiction, classics, memoirs, maybe a book

or two, another character might have read. In March, which is a where you read I will follow

month, we are reading The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. I feel like this could be a book

that Roy reads now, but I also very much see this like on Emily's book club on her end table out

in Antucket that she beats out in her Adirondack chairs maybe. Maybe I see such a clear image of

her sitting outside reading because I deeply want that for myself. But the correspondent is an

epistolary novel following the correspondence of one Sybil van Antwerp, revealing her history,

her enthusiasm, her grief, her love, her fears, and everything in between as we snoop through

all of the letters she's written, received, and the ones she hasn't sent. I absolutely loved this book when I read it.

It was one of those moments of the curse that I have where I see the Gilmore Girls and everything

that I consume, that the themes were just popping out at me. This is so similar to the things that
