Hi y'all, welcome to the first official episode of Gilmore to read. I'm your host, Haley.

Hi, Haley. I feel like that's like the only appropriate time that that actually works, is it not?

So I'm really excited to do this episode today. But if you are like, what is Gilmore to read? What is Gilmore to Say doing? Where is Tara?

Gilmore to read is Gilmore to Say's book club, and Tara is not much of a reader. She can read.

Despite all of the jokes that I have made about her not being able to read, she totally can, because one of these months she is totally going to join us, and I'm really excited to get her to do so. But under

Gilmore to read, there are two different book clubs, sub-book clubs, if you will, sub-parties, if you're

quoting Logan Huntsberger. And one of those is reading as sexy, where we're going to read

mostly romance, but contemporary

books that feel like Gilmore Girls, the witty banter, the tropes that you love, dramatic

relationships, men written by women, you know, like all of the things that you love about Gilmore

Girls, we're going to find a book that fits that perfectly, and if you join where you read,

I will follow, we will be reading books like Rory.

We'll read some books from the show, some classics, but we're also going to incorporate

some contemporary literary fiction so that we can be sure that we're reading really

diversely because I wouldn't say that was a strength of Rory Gilmore's in the book selection

that she had.

And in the month of April, reading a sexy read,

seven days in June by Tia Williams, and where you read I will follow, read, Pride and Prejudice by

Jane Austen, two books that I absolutely loved. I'm excited to get into Pride and Prejudice a little

bit later, because I actually have a guest for the rest of
