Hello and welcome to the Wednesday May 15th

2019 edition of Tesla Daily Unofficial Tesla Podcast. My name is Rob Maower, got a handful of topics to cover today in what was otherwise a pretty quiet day as it related to the stock. Not a whole lot of movement after kind of the first hour of trading with Tesla finishing the day down a 0.15%

to $231.95 this compared to the Nasak up 1.13%, so a bit of a tougher day for Tesla overall.

Tough to say what was driving that, probably just a continuation of kind of the

downtrend that we've been seeing in Tesla, rather than any impact from any

particular item of news.

The first topic I did want to cover today though was a news story from the Buffalo News

on Tesla's Gigafactory 2 in Buffalo, New York.

They published an article today with the headline of, quote, Tesla is adding new products in Buffalo

as its solar business slumps, end quote.

A little bit negative in terms of the headline,

but there is quite a bit of good information

within the body of the article.

We'll talk a little bit more about the

product lines here in a second but before we do that just to kind of set the

scene in terms of Gigafactory 2 in case people aren't familiar and this will just

be quick but Gigafactory 2 comes to Tesla originally from Solar City.

And the factory was actually funded up to 750 million dollars from the state of New York,

with various employment and investment milestones that need to be reached,

which was an obligation given to Solar City at the time now taken on by Tesla.

The job and investment milestone requirements that Tesla had to meet by the end of the month last month

for the year of 2019 were 500 jobs and a total investment of $175 million.
