Hello. Was that your office door that you opened? I just came out of the ice cream

hatch I have in my office. It's under the ground. It's also fallout shelter.

Ice cream of the future. An emotional fallout shelter. When I get a little

anxious I just go down to my ice cream hatch and just have myself a little

cookies and cream. There you go. Whatever gets you to the day and hey I'm Todd

Hamons and we're just two ministers slash buds who love the stories of the

Bible and we cannot wait to share with you. We're kind of in a spooky season. I'll

tell you what Matt and I don't know if this story that we're about to share is

spooky or not. Maybe there's a little bit to it but you be the judge. This one

does involve murder which is spooky. Okay. This one happens in the time of the

judges which was a bit of a unique season in Israel's history and but you

remember that there were some really special judges. You think about somebody like

Samson with his his power and his strength and his hair. You think about

somebody like Gideon with the fleece like there are just some incredible things

happening in the book of judges. But the time period was not great for Israel

because basically everyone did what they thought was right in their own eyes and

did what they wanted. And there was at this point in Israel's history there was

no king. So the time of the judges historically it runs right up to the

formation of the unified kingdom of Israel with a king and all the stuff that

goes along with it. So tribes of Israel at this point in their history they are

led by God and then a judge comes in to give them rescue and de facto
