Welcome back to the Ross Bolin podcast. I am your host Ross Bolin accompanied today by producer

Cade Cade say hello to the people. Let's go ahead everyone. We are starting off today's

show with a segment called, Could you do it? I was perusing Twitter the other day and I

saw this hypothetical offered up by some obscure meme account. It was a photo of a padded

room like you know that they'd have in like a hospital with text overlaying the padded

room that said one year in a padded room for 30 billion dollars no books movies phones,

consoles, nothing. Could you do it? So it's one year 365 days locked in a padded room.

I don't know why they started with no books. I feel like phone should be the first thing

but no books or movies or phone or consoles, nothing. And if you make it out alive, I guess

or don't quit. You get 30 billion dollars which I'm not sure how they came up with that

figure. But before any of you start, no, you absolutely could not do it. I mean, you

might be able to physically survive a year in solitary with nothing to do at all. But

mentally, you would be so broken by the time you got out of that box that you wouldn't

even know what money was. The 30 billion would do you no good. Interestingly, the replies

to this hypothetical on Twitter included an astonishing amount of people who were seemingly

confident they could pull it off, which I was surprised by. And if you're like, Oh,
