All right, we are back and we are going to be not on a Thursday for a couple reasons. One, it's Thanksgiving week, and I don't want to ruin anybody's Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving. Yeah, happy Thanksgiving, but you don't want to be sitting listening to us instead of with family. Maybe you do. Maybe they are right now. Yeah, they possibly are. If you are, thank you. Yeah, thank you. The other reason that Ahmed and I are talking earlier in the week is because we're going to talk about Stanton a lot. I'm going to talk to Tyra Beatt, who is involved in that a little bit. And I think we're both of the opinion that this time of year you can't do an interview on a Tuesday and then wait two days. So you have a 35% chance that the Giants have Giancarlo Stanton next year. Yes. That's your highest percentage ever. Ever. Tuesday, whatever the date, Tuesday, November 21st. And I'll give you two reasons why. One, I think it's become very clear over the last three weeks or so that they're going to trade them no matter what. It seems like they're going to trade him. And there was some doubt.

I've talked about it on this podcast. I thought that was a tough thing to come in and do, but I think Derek Jeter has made it pretty clear that he doesn't care. They need to cut payroll. They need to cut payroll. Badly. No matter what Scott Porras might say. and that's their emphasis right now.

And then two, it just seems like other teams never really developed here. And I thought the Red Sox were going to get really involved. They haven't really been involved that much. And it's not, I mean, like, Dodgers you hear, but it'd be more of a luxury for them, I mean, because they're stacked for the most part. Yeah, it seems like they've never been too involved. And if you're the Red Sox. You don't know if he wants to go there first of all, and the Marlins don't seem like they've talked to him at all. Maybe they've talked to his representatives,

but Jeter's like, yeah, I haven't talked to him. But if you're the Red Sox and you really want to upgrade your outfield offense production, I mean, J.D. Martinez is going to cost less, and you don't have to give up any prospects for it, and so there's an alternative for them so yeah i mean it does it does seem like the
