coming up today has been on my podcast for a long time. Tyler Beattie, he is always very generous

with his time and very open about what he's going through, whether it's good or bad, or he's making

mechanical changes or changing

his pitch mix. He was the first player I had on this spring training, and I talked to Tyler

at the end of the season, the last player I talked to this year. We actually talked after his final

start, which was a weird one, three and a third innings, zero hits, seven strikeouts. He was

absolutely dominant. It seemed like he'd put

it all together against the Rockies that day. And really had a lot of good starts during the year,

even though the overall numbers weren't great, but a lot of very promising starts for him during

his first full season. But of course, he had that oblique injury that knocked him out that day. And so

we talked the next day

about the good and the bad and as you can tell i think tyler's always been a very positive person

and he is very encouraged by what he did this season and what he was able to put on paper and i think
