Joined, as always by co-st, Nick Palado for today's emergency podcast, as we like to call them.

The Giants just made a trade out of nowhere.

They dealt the seventh round pick, which I know, look, Jordan Riley

looks pretty good so far in camp, but guess what? For the most part, these seventh round picks are

dumb. So a lot of times they don't even make the roster in year one. I am perfectly fine taking

that swing for Isaiah Simmons, the linebacker slash safety slash edge, whatever you want to call

him at this point slash slot defender,

because we'll go over that.

But he played a wide variety, snaps at a wide variety of positions last year,

similar to Xavier McKinney in a sense of just playing a lot of different positions.

A player who, I'll be honest, Nick, we kind of liked in the 2020 draft class.

And I really liked this film at Clemson.

I thought he could be really fun depending on which defense coordinator got him. we kind of liked in the 2020 draft class and i really liked this film at clemson i thought

but i got to feel like they could have got something better than a seventh round pick for
