somebody who I think had a big

impact on the trade deadline just because the Giants felt pretty good about the way some of these

guys were throwing and they felt they were able to trade a Sam Dyson, trademark Malance,

and Ray Black, Drew Palm Rands, and really fill it in from the back a little bit. So Sam

Coonrod has done a pretty good job since he got called up, 12 appearances,

2.25 ERA, 1.08 whip.

The walks are up there a little bit, but only five hits in those 12 innings.

So certainly somebody, as we saw in that Cubs game that we talked about on this podcast,

can be very, very difficult to hit with that big fastball
