Hello again, everybody, and welcome to the Mike Francesa podcast, part of the Bent Rivers Network.

We come to you on this Sunday afternoon as we finish up week 17.

And I know some of you giant fans will be like, oh, you knew the Giants would do it.

Hey, I have never, ever been a fan of tanking.

The Giants don't need the first pick in the draft.

Even if you wanted to collect an extra pick from somebody as you were going to trade off for somebody that was coveting a quarterback.

You know what?

You're going to be picking a very high pick.

I thought the Giants did a good job today.

I mean, you know the Raiders who won a quarterback, wanted the first pick in a very, very public way.

You know that today.

I mean, they did tank the game. Okay. game okay so what i mean it's just the way it is all right hey some people do some people don't i'm not a fan of it i don't think it's good for your franchise i don't think it's good for your players i don't think you never ask a professional player not to give his best uh and i think it was important that dart won another game I really do. I don't think you never ask a professional player not to give his best. And I think it was important that thought one another game.

I really do.

I don't think it hurts.

I think it's a positive.

I think it's something he carries into next year.

So from that standpoint, I'm fine with what happened there.

I hope you got through Christmas unscathed, although I don't know anybody who did.

I have never in my life remembered a year where flu and cold and nasty cold and flew ripped through every family that I mean we had people come in they wound up in urgent care from out of town um my daughter came back from Italy she was sick uh my boys came back from college they both had the

flu um i got at christmas eve when i'm playing santa claus and christmas they had we had 40 people

and i was so sick i couldn't even stand up uh and i spent yesterday in bed uh feeling a little
