But before that, let's get into the news of the week and talk of the Super Bowl.

Let's start first with the trade of Jared Golf to the Detroit Lions,

plus three draft choices for Matthew Stafford.

I think there are two major elements in this trade. Number one, Sean McVeigh, the coach of the Rams, thought he needed a better quarterback who could make more consistent big plays downfield in that passing offense.

It was clear that he had lost faith in Jared Golf. Now Golf gets to go to a new team with a totally blank slate in Detroit and he'll have an opportunity to say that hey the problem was not me it was

Sean McVeigh and his expectations but we'll see and as far as the L the L a part of this goes, I think one of the interesting things about Matthew Stafford going to the Rams is that there's so much in the offense of Sean McVeigh

where he wants to challenge a defense deep downfield.

He felt he wasn't able to do that with Jared Goff and I think now with

Matthew Stafford he thinks I finally have the guy who was what in the first half of

2018 that's what Jared Golf was and somehow some way

laid in 2018 and in the last two years they just haven't had the same deep thrower in

Jared Golf as they had there early in 2018.
