about culture changes and raised expectations and all these things. For me, it's as simple as Washington

just won by two touchdowns against the Giants, and nobody's that excited. In years past, there'd be

a damn parade going down Central Avenue. They didn't play their best. They were good enough against what looks like a pretty bad team, and they got the dub. Yeah, Russ Wilson looked real bad today. What a change 24 months can have for a team. I mean, for this team to come out, and we can say the team didn't play great, the offense was a little disjointed. The defense looked really good all day, and certainly part of that comes from the Giants andeptitude on offense, but that D-line got after the quarterback. And for all the edge angst, those two big D tackles in the middle were hell racers in there. Absolutely. I mean, they made a concerted effort throughout the offseason to get bigger and more dominant

on the defensive front. And I think you saw it. Kinlaw was fantastic. Pain playing really well. And if people want to talk about contract year, fine. Well, it's also not accurate. Like, he has another year on his contract. There are guarantees on it, but they'd have to release him. and if he's playing like that, they probably wouldn't.

So I think we get over our skis with contract year this, contract year that.

Feebo contract year of this, contract year that.

Debo contract year and paying no more guaranteed money. Sure. Those might have been the two MVP's of the game outside of Jane Daniels. Or Bill, but yeah. And Bill, too. But you're right, the defensive line was so good. and they really, really set the tone early in this thing.

And early on, while you're looking up the YPC, Dietrich Wise was awesome. They finished at 3.2 yards per carry, but a lot of that was late when it was rust scrambling. Wise was really good. He had the unfortunate, what was the hands-to-face penalty, illegal hands penalty. It was legit. How about two goal line stops? Yeah. I joked on Twitter. The only reason the Giants kicked the field goal was last time they were here in Landover. They had no kicker. They couldn't kick a field goal. They wanted to prove they could do it. Well, dude, I mean, some of it, that was funky to me that Dayball gets down there, goes for it on fourth and fourth and fourth and fourth the goal from the three from the three

neighbors got to be that close to losing it there. I mean, all the stuff that we've seen with Russ on other teams over the past couple years of receivers being frustrated with what they've seen from them, you can say the same thing here. And as much as you want to talk about Russ not being great and maybe the play calling was up in the air, you've got to give credit to his defense. Amos, Amos was really good.
