Hello and welcome back to Talking Giants. Today is February 10th,

2000, 26. And the Giants have hired an offensive line coach. They hired Greg Roman

as a senior assistant and Sean Marash. We're going to be giving out our offensive grades

from the 2025 season. How are you doing?

I'm doing great, Justin.

This week is always one of my favorite, favorite weeks as a Giants fan,

because no matter what, we're all zero and zero.

We have the same record as the Philadelphia Eagles.

We have the same record as the defending champion Seattle Seahawks.

And we are currently in first place in the NFC East. And I love that. What did you think about the game? Awful. Awful. I don't want to live in the moment called the worst Super Bowl ever. I'm sure many would argue Super Bowl 35 is one of those like bad blowout games. But there's just nothing to it. And I think the week leading in suck too. I hated the game. It was an awful rotten game. I always like to use the Super Bowl, at least in the moment, right? I'm not thinking about these types of things in August being like, the Super Bowl is the game that you learn this lesson of. But I always like to view the Super Bowl, who wins the Super Bowl, and how they win the Super Bowl. It's like, okay, well, what do we learn from that, right? Mm-hmm. Or what is reinforced. I think definitely what's reinforced is, damn, if you got any flaws on your offensive line, which even heading into the season, like, we're sitting there being like, the Patriots don't have the best offensive line, right? If you got any flaws on that offensive line, man, it's going to be highlighted specifically in the Super Bowl, just for whatever reason.

It's always highlighted in the Super Bowl.

And also the elite pass rushes stand out as well.

But I think this was particularly a bad offensive line.

Yeah, Will Campbell had the single worst pressure.

Like, we gave a 14 pressure is the most alignment allowed in the seasonal year.

So the reason I think this is also why it sucked, like, and we're talking about this from a giant angle,

that could have been the 20, 23 Giants who somehow made a Super Bowl and then played that Seahawk team,

and that's what it would have looked like.

And I think that's, I have seen that game too many times when the quarterback just can't function.

He's getting pummeled. You have no idea of the, where did this? Now I have no idea what I think of Drake May. Is Drake May like a product of an easy schedule? Or is Drake May the same guy I thought he was coming out? or is Drake May like, hey, you can't, you can't tell because of the old line.

Like all those Daniel Jones conversations I'm now having about Drake May. And I hate doing that. Yeah, I'm not, I'm not there. I think he's legit. I do too, but it's fair to ask me. He played four playoff games for four great defenses and he crumbled. Yeah. But also like I still go back to the preseason take of like, man, that roster really wasn't ready but the the Patriots do I think the Patriots still deserve even with easy schedule cupcake schedule date they didn't choose to have that they beat everybody on their schedule and they got here certainly if the shoe were on the other foot if the shoe were on on my foot, I'm not, I'm defending myself.

And I'm defending my football team with everybody else that's attacking me, right?
