Summary

Dan and Nick break down the Giants' Week 11 loss to the Lions with their rapid reactions and quick takeaways. They discuss the WR play and the two strong performances -- including the Giants' first 100 yard receiver Wan'Dale Robinson and what his injury could mean. That leads to an easy transition on the OBJ situation -- he narrows his teams down to the Giants and Cowboys -- but they discuss if Schoen should invest a multi-year backloaded deal in OBJ w Wan'Dale out. Also, they discuss Daniel Jones, the offensive line injuries and performance, what happened with the defense and a lot more. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Welcome back. It's the Big blue banter. New York Giants football podcast. I'm Dan Schneier. Joined is always my co-ist, Nick Falado. Tonight we're coming to one of the first big post-mortem. Giants recap. Look, the Giants lost the game for the Cowboys earlier in the season. But I think at that point, we were still playing with a lot of house money.

And it was a good game.

0:40.5

Honestly, I was at that game.

0:41.3

They could have won that game.

0:34.6

Thought they would after the Seek-Barkley-long touchdown run. They didn't. Then the last game to the Seahawks where it just felt like, all right, Richie Vames fumbled it twice. that really kind of screwed that game.

0:37.7

Not to say they definitely would have won without it, but it was a fine game.

I did not think the Lions Pass events was good at all, but they were good against the run, and they made two key turnovers. but this was not a good game to get blown out in. The Giants essentially got blown out.

And they put on some garbage points at the end. And again,

1:16.2

turnovers played a key role and the Giants gave three turnovers to zero. But this was a real post,

1:20.3

this is a big time loss to the Giants. We both, Nick and I predicted a win here. We expected a

1:24.8

win. It was very important to get a win in this game. And that's the

1:28.2

first part of this podcast. The second part of this podcast is addressing the injury situation,

1:33.8

what it means moving forward, especially as they roll into a game. But before I say any of that,

1:37.9

before we get into the game, I do want to like pull it back here and keep things in perspective,

1:41.8

Nick, because I see a lot of doom and gloom on Twitter right now in my DMs,

1:47.1

in the replies. And I understand it. If I was a fan, I am a fan. Right now, it was tough to leave today

feeling anything but doom and gloom, especially when you factor in the injuries. But when you take a step
