Hey, everybody, welcome back to the Giants Insider podcast presented by Wendy's.

This is another spring training podcast, which allows you to do things that are sometimes a little bit different. And I did with this one, I went over the minor week facility to talk to Elliot Ramos and Jacob Gonzalez, the top two picks from last year's draft,

two guys who really got off to a very good start in their first season.

They were in the Arizona League last year.

I read off some of their stats to them at the beginning of this, but when you look at them,

again, I mean, they're kind of overwhelming.

Ramos ended up with an OPS over a thousand.

I mean, in addition to the home runs,

the batting average, he also had six triples and 10 stolen bases in 35 games. So it kind of shows you everything that he is capable of and the Giants feel like he is a true five-tool player

and somebody who can be a center fielder and a five-tool center fielder. So somebody they're

very excited about

when I was down there talking to people, a couple guys said that they had exit velocities on him at about

150 miles per hour last summer a few times, which is very high, especially for somebody who just turned 18.

So I think that shows you why the Giants are so excited about him.

And then Jacob Gonzalez is a sneaky season too. I think everybody paid attention to Ramos,

but Jacob went out there, hit 339. He had an OPS of 876. And the thing that stood out to me,

in 168 at bats, he had 16 walks and 23 strikeouts. So that's a pretty good plate discipline. And it, you know,

obviously somebody whose father was such a good player, his father, Luis Gonzalez, the long time

Diamondback, you would expect him to have good plate discipline, but still to go out there and do
