Review all 22 of this Giants went over the Jets as we were last night when we watched this game.

I was.

I was.

I can even make an argument that I'm even a little bit more excited because Jackson don't wheeling. He'd be dealing it. And it's a rookie quarterback.

And look, vibes are positive right now for the New York Giants. But it's not, it's not for no

reason, right? Like these vibes are positive because there's actual momentum here. And not just momentum for 2025. Look, it remains to be seen what's going to happen this year, but the future looks bright. So, yeah, I came away up, please, even with guys like Abdul Carter, everyone's making fun of Abdul Carter because the chip blocked. That was one play. Was it the best play? No, it wasn't. but he also had some damn good run defense plays in that game. So I remained obviously very optimistic about him. And not like that chip block were going to deter me from that. But yeah, man, it was another quality tape review in the preseason from the New York Giants. Anyone who's worried about dual Carter getting blindside chipped and just because it's highlight play, it's just crazy when you consider that. Not only is he high upside in the past game, I felt like he showed off a lot of good stuff in the run game in this game, specifically against tight ends, which is obviously different than taking on a tactical. But if you put these tight ends up against Carter thinking,

oh, we're going to overpower this guy. We're going to overmatch this guy because of his size. It's not going to happen. He dominated the jet side end in this game in the run game. The tight end, I should say, in this run game. I felt like he did an excellent job really contributing in those big runs. just because we're going to focus on a couple quarter to start, but just because everybody,

and I see a lot of jet fans throwing shit out of a dual car like, oh, you got trip to the bra. Like, I don't care. Like, watch this play by a dual carter against the double pollers, all right? This is a quality play from him. Look how physical that it is. Contact. You have the play side. You have the G lead, right? So the play side guard and the backside guard are both going to pull out of shock on Justin Fields in a football game. Abdul Carter is the edge, the contained defender. And he senses this pull physical. Squeeze technique. It's not a wrong arm technique. Wrong arm is not a negative thing.

That's just another way to execute this against counter runs and double-tilling runs.

This is a way to a squeeze technique, a way to just blow up the counter.

And you can see how he does that.

The second puller, the backside guard ends up getting picked off by Elijah Chapman.

Because Elijah Chapman, an excellent run defense play here as well. But if it wasn't for that, this is a traffic jam. This is a perfect executed play by Abdul Carter against a double polar, against power, and locked. Nowhere for Reese Hall to go. This is an excellent play. I absolutely love seeing this. R. Abdul Carter. Low physical, dictating the rep to the offense.

So I just wanted to put that out there just because there's a lot of negativity about Abdul Carter. And it's not going to come from Giant fans, but people giving them shit. It's like, well, he also has one of the kids plays like this. Yeah, really just stupid Jet fans. I think they're still pissed about like two preseasonings ago. remember when J.L.L. I want to say, to say burned, he might have beat Sauce Gardner on that outside rep and Giants fans made a big deal of it. I think this is their way of kind of getting back at Giants fans who did that, Nick, just evening the score in summer guards. Fine, whatever, it doesn't really imply to us because we don't really care about that kind of stuff. But I will say this, that wasn't the only the good, that wasn't the only great play I saw from Carter in the run game.

I thought early in the game on that first series, he made multiple good plays in the run game. I think that's an area of his game that we came in, I don't want to say skeptical about Nick, but it's kind of like where we're out with neighbors last year when he came in NFL. I remember we were like, we don't think he can't have a diverse release package off the line of screen.

We just kind of haven't seen it.
