Hello and welcome back to Talk and Giants presented by the Fanatic Sportsbook. It is late on April 24th,

2006, and night two, day two of the NFL draft is completed. And the Giants not only took one

player at the top of the second round, but they traded back up into the third round. They took Colton Hood quarterback out of the University of Tennessee in the second round,

then traded back up to pick 74 to drift wide receiver Malachi Fields out of Notre Dame.

Sean, we thought that we were just going to be talking about one player.

Joe Shane, John Harbaugh, come out and they talk probably at around the end of round two, maybe towards the beginning ish of round three. And we think, oh, the nights kind of wind them down. And then nope, boom, big trade package. The Giants are coming up. They draft Malachi Fields. Kind of came out of nowhere. His name wasn't really floated around during the pre-draft process. And probably is a good thing that we still kind of have no clue where the Giants are pivoting and turning all throughout the draft, Sean. Yeah, what a wild night too, Justin. And we don't have to get too deep into this because I want to stay. Obviously, we both want to stay on track.

But I started the night probably an hour and a half even with text with you, preparing for two picks tonight because it kind of felt like we might be moving Kvon, Tibido for a third round pick. I'm just going to be honest with you. I had texted you. Thank God I didn't tweet it. I seem to have got bum info, but right after I had texted you, suddenly Jordan Schultz was tweeting about it.

And then all of a sudden, Kvon Tibido was taking to his Instagram story about it. So it made me feel like I had got tipped off on good info. But either way, that doesn't happen. Joe Shane and them basically say it's a show Shane and them basically say that was a farce. but I did begin around 5.30 p.m.

Yeah, so I do want to start off with Colton Hood first.

I want to go in chronological order, but in case, you're kind of missing out, the Giants did trade up.

They got pick 74.

They wound up giving up this year's pick 105 and pick 145.

So the Giants only have three draft picks left in this year's draft.

I believe that is 186, 192, and 193.

They do the math.

They are, for basically a seven-hour day on Saturday, they're going to make about three picks within 12 minutes.
