players the giants picked up nick because i went into today with a little to no expectation

0:48.5

i mean it's round six 80 something odd picks before we're on the clock again i got got to say, man, I like the players they came away with, especially one player here that we'll talk about in a moment, J.C. Davis, who was a player that was on my list and somebody I was targeting before the draft, somebody I believe that can convert inside, whether that be guard or possibly center, which I'm open to? We'll talk about a little bit more later.

And they got him. They got the guy. And I know people who are close to that Illinois program, Nick. And they said, this guy has the feel of somebody who will be a multi-year starter down the line in the NFL. I didn't even say down the line. It just feels like the feel of a starter at the NFL. Rags to Riches if that happens to

1:27.4

this was a zero star recruit

1:28.7

because he was not heavily recruited and to your point, not to, you know, we'll get into it a little bit later, but he is somebody who was also taking inside snaps at the senior bowl. Right. Yeah. So like it's not because he played predominantly. That's where he's going to play. He's not going to play that. even though he played left tackle at Illinois, he won't play left tackle. And then there's just like a theme that continues forward, Nick, that has me excited about this draft and about future. The theme is physicality and power and strength, man. J.C. Davis is a powerful player. Honestly, if you really look at it, even Jack Kelly, who is more of kind of like that smegger, more of like a hyperathletic type of player. But if you just look at it, he has physicality to his game. He's not maybe the most strong player, I would say, but he's certainly like a physical player. Like watching him fly around the field, it feels like somebody who has no regard for his safety and his body. And it doesn't

2:18.0

surprise me. We'll get into him a little bit later. So he was a former BMX, like star biker type

2:23.9

guy. So that's interesting. And then obviously their first six round pick, a player who I honestly

2:29.1

did not know too much about it. And I've been learning through the process. He's got a lot of

2:33.5

strength, pop on contact length. And He's got a lot of strength, pop on contact

2:34.9

length. And so we got a lot of physicality coming in. It's a very different group of players

2:40.5

coming in for the Giants moving forward. Exactly. I mean, it's a breath of fresh air. It's something

2:45.6

that we've been demanding. It's something we went over after day one and day two. And they
