Hey, everybody, this is episode one of the off season. More importantly, it's episode 50 overall.

So I just want to take a moment to thank anybody who has downloaded, who has subscribed, who has left a review, who has retweeted when I send these out on Thursdays.

It all helps, and we're very appreciative of it and we're going to keep it

going as long as we can. Hopefully we're doing episode 100 around this time next year. Hopefully

it's a playoff preview, not kind of a look back at what's happened. But a lot of the last

week has been trying to figure out what happened this year and what happens going forward.

And that was really the focus of my conversation with Brian Sabian, as you'll hear right from

the start.

We talked about Chris Shaw and Stephen Dugger, two guys who could potentially help this team

next year.

And then some guys who could help even further down the line and some of the other parts

of this front office that maybe they need to shore up a little bit

as they try to keep pace with the Dodgers in their division and the Rockies and the Diamondbacks,

even the Padres, who finish well ahead of them.

So a lot of work to be done, but, you know, it starts pretty soon for the front office,

and for me, the offseason starts now with this podcast.
