Joined. It's always my co-ist Nick Tolado. It's like I say it every week, Nick, but man, am I beaten down by this team, this franchise? No good Mike tonight. I'm at another location. So we're going bad mic tonight. You'll just have to fortunately deal with that just as we all have to deal with watching the New York football giant. Bad team. Let's go, baby. Yeah. Well, yeah, I mean, look, I said, maybe we'll start here. I would say, and somebody pushed back on me on this Nick and said 2021, which I'll then push back on in the second. But I would say, this is the first time that I remember in my fanhood.

And maybe I just wasn't thinking about as much, 2021, where I was like, definitively speaking,

there is no case to be made that any team in the NFL is worse than the Giants.

And someone said, what about the Raiders? You know, what about the Jaguars? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. The Giants just lost 34 to 7 to the Falcons, a team that just put in a random rookie quarterback, a team that didn't look good at all. He's not random, but he's the first time picked with zero reps all year until this week with the first team. He, they didn't look good in the first score to the Falcons and then somehow still they blew him out. I mean, this is the worst football team in the NFL. He had 2021, you could say, but 2021, the Giants put Fromm in there. Fromm was like a, it was an embarrassment to the NFL. I mean, that's somebody who should never be in the NFL. Drew Locke was supposed to be like a backup quarterback, Nick, like someone who's like a,

not a starter, but a legitimate backup, like a real deal backup.

It's not supposed to be just an embarrassment for your whole team when he's out there.

So they've officially hit rock bottom.

Obviously, for our sake, Nick, it's a, I look at it as a better thing than a win the jaguars lost

the raiders won so now the giants are the only two win team in the NFL they hold sole

possession currently over the number one overall pick in the drafts and we've also never had as a

fan so like net net it's fine and all but like it is so so hard for me to find the hope with this franchise. And it just gets harder and harder every week. The hope with the franchise lies with that number one overall pick. That is the future right now. And there's going to be a lot of decisions that go into this, right? What's happening with Dave? What's happening with Shane? We've talked about that for weeks now. It looks like the writings on the wall for Brian Daible at this point. But the hope is that number one pick. Because with that number one pick, you're hoping to find a Jane Daniels type of quarterback. Somebody who can come in doesn't have to be to the skill set of Jane Daniels, but somebody who can come in

and be the face of your franchise and the person, the item that you build your franchise around

on that rookie contract for at least five years.

And it's funny you mentioned Jaden because Jaden's, you know, that example is fresh in

our minds from today, right? Like we just watched and yeah, Washington's changed their GM, they changed their head coach. They did a bunch of changes. Which the Giants could do as well. The Giants could do as well. And they can go well or they can. And I think in generally speaking, the changes that you make look a lot better when you're winning and look a lot worse when you're losing.

And we have arguments to be made for them being great moves when the team has wins.

But ultimately speaking, we watched a special moment from Jaden Daniels today.

Going against what entered this week as the best defense and the hottest defense in the NFL, the guy who let a touchdown drive with like 30 seconds on the clock with a combo of like smooth killer runs from in the pocket

and throws outside the number to Terry McLaurin. And then that dime of a touchdown that

required crazy timing, just unbelievable anticipation to fit it into that tight window that he

fitted into through it well before that. There was no real window anyway, but fit it right in there. I mean, that's his second special moment of the rookie season. That's what could happen. And you're right, Nick. That is the hope. The hope is that they can find someone that makes you forget about a lot of the other issues. They're still there. They're not going away no but he can help you forget
