and they were talking about if they did trade him, you know, where would he want to go and all this stuff?

And Shams writes, only one team emerged for Anta D'Compo, where he wanted to play outside of Milwaukee,

and that was the New York Knicks, multiple sources with direct knowledge of the situation told ESPN.

The Bucks picked up the Knicks call on Antidecumpo, and the sides engage in conversations for a window of time in August.

League sources said, but the teams never got traction on a deal,

and partly because the Knicks don't have any draft picks to trade anymore

after trading them for McHale Bridges,

and it doesn't seem like either side was very serious about getting it done.

But it is interesting that Janus, one team you wanted to play for outside of Milwaukee

is the New York Knicks. Didn't he buy a house at Southampton or something? A lot of people buy houses in South Hampton don't want to play for the Knicks. Yeah, well, I mean, I know that, well, look, I can understand why he wants to come here, but this is the year of the Knicks. This is the Knicks window. The window is wide open right now. And rebuilding the bottom part of this roster, getting a new coach in here, I guess, is supposed to have some sort of profound positive effect. I asked Wally yesterday.
