They were going to be in a very tough spot even before Damian Lillard, well into his 30s, tore his Achilles in the first round of the playoffs. So it actually does make sense that Giannis might see the writing on the wall and ask to leave, and for the Bucks to decide it really is in the best interests of the franchise to oblige him. As for the "play for the Lakers" part? That's a lot more complicated. Like, damn near impossible unless the Lakers somehow figure out how to morph Bucks GM Jon Horst into NIco Harrison.
