Samantha and I both worked in our yards today. We're so excited. I know. I know.

So welcome everybody. We're so glad you're here with us. We've got a couple of folks. Samantha who said that this is their first live time listening to us live. So we're so excited to have them with us and we hope everything's okay. We're happy to have you with us.

And tonight we're going to be teaching about ghosts. But if you're a regular listener with us, you know that we've had that topic before. We've just got a different spin on it tonight.

And we also have a crystal of the week and an animal of the week. So Samantha, would you like to start with the crystal?

Sure. Since we're going to our paranormal alphabet and we're on G, I chose Garnet, which is a lovely, easily accessible stone. It's very affordable, especially in its raw form. And it's found naturally in North Carolina, which is very exciting.

Okay. So I'm going to read from Cassandra Easton's, the illustrated directory of healing crystals.

Oh, yeah, I love Cassandra Easton.

She says, according to myth, a Garnet illuminated Noah's Ark day and night when the skies were black with rain. In Eastern Europe, the Garnet was said to protect against vampires.

Garnet was worn by the crusaders who believed it would light the way home. And medieval times, all-mitting Garnets were used in jewelry and also in church and temple windows.

Garnet represents the 18th wedding anniversary. Use the cheaper round dark red, almost opaque Garnet for any type of divination. If you draw this stone, avoid anyone who is critical or discouraging if you are trying to achieve a goal that may attract envy or opposition.

And what she means by that is she believes that you can kind of pick a stone for each day to kind of give you an idea of what that day is going to be like.

So that's a really neat thing about her book. Every stone has a divinatory significance. So if you wanted to pick a stone a day instead of say a Taro-kari day, this would be a good book to get.

She does that in her healing crystals book as well.

Associated with the root chakra, Garnet is one of the best crystals for reawakening survival instincts.
