supernatural ghost movies both took the classic haunted house tropes but flipped them on

their heads leaving audiences questioning who was dead and who wasn't who was

being haunted and who was doing the haunting. These two movies very different in their style and

execution both became instant timeless classics and one of them went on to become the

biggest grossing horror movie of all time. It seemed that low-key subtle supernatural horror was back.
