Welcome back to our exploration of the Austin Antique Mall, a beloved fixture in the heart of

Austin that has recently faced its last chapter.

As we transition into part two of our series, our Night Out team stands on the threshold of a 30,000 square foot labyrinth, filled with echoes of the past and whispers of the supernatural.

In our initial phone interviews, we heard from staff and vendors who shared their personal

encounters with the strange and unexplained.

They all recounted numerous experiences, but I'll highlight some here.

Kate recounted feeling an unsettling energy in the various corners of the mall, particularly the

southwest end, where she sensed a heavy presence. Vicky, another longtime vendor, confirmed the belief

that some antiques hold on to the spirits of their former owners.

She also brought up along with many others the sudden passing of their cherished colleague

Patrick, whose spirit many believed remained in the building.

Renee shared her own eerie experiences from a shaking chandelier during her pregnancy

to a haunting encounter with a light fixture that she believed was still under Patrick's playful

influence.

And Draven, Renee's daughter who grew up in the mall, described seeing a shadow figure and an intense
