And hey everybody else. And welcome to our podcast. Scary stories to tell on the pod. It is a podcast about scary things told by soft people who like to laugh. I think that's nice. Yeah. I do think there was a time of my life where we're describing myself, where being described as a soft person would be something I'd want want to distance myself from. Oh yeah. At this point of my life, I'm like, why fight it? I still felt hurt by it when I said it. When I said it. We're both soft grandmas. We're soft, we're not bony grandma. Yeah. Yeah. That is the, that there are two types of people in this world. and those are the two. It is, you always do like a, it's like a this.

Yes.

I'll say it's like a, um, a person is calling your house threatening, like saying like, what's your favorite scary movie? But they just had a bunch of dental work done. So it's like, like, like he does, I mean. And they're like, ow. You're like, yeah, you're not supposed to talk or eat until the numbness is gone. Anna, this makes me think there is nothing more humbling than when a bully in school has to get dental work done. Oh, yeah. It is, it actually is the great equalizer. And I think it is often what begins a healing in a school setting. Can you paint the

picture a little bit of that moment? Yes, in middle school, there was who I'm sure now is like a very

successful like PR person, um, but like a very smart, very mean girl I went to middle school with

who could just say the like absolute meanest thing

imaginable and then one week one of her teeth turned gray and then she had to go to the dentist

and you got gray tooth and the tooth had to be taken out and replaced with a fake tooth and but there was

no escaping like once your tooth turns gray in seventh grade, it's over.

Everyone knows what each other's front of teeth look like. Yes, exactly. And so, and that really,

and I, and to her credit, she became nicer after that. How long was it gray tooth before it was

fake? I think it was like, I think it really was like two weeks. That's endless. Right. I mean, and it was fake too i think it was like i think it really was like two weeks that's endless right

i mean and it and it was like not at a time where there was kind of right in the middle of february

and so it was like there's nothing going on there's nothing to distract from this and we have nothing to

look forward to in florida we don't get a february break so like it you're kidding it really was all about. Well, that's right, because you're already in Florida. Right. Why would you need a break? Is it true? Is February break entirely about skiing, or was that just a New Hampshire thing? That might be a New Hampshire thing. I do think that the kids on the north side of the tracks weren't going skiing.

I'll tell you that much for free.

Yeah.

Every year one rich kid would break their femur snowmobiling.

And that was like, wow, she has money.

Yeah.

We were not really allowed to be a skiing family because all my brothers played sports.
