We started the crusade weeks ago right here on the Independent Republic of Mike Graham.

And like most campaigns that we start, the rest of the media has finally caught up with us when they realized that we were right all along.

This morning, the Daily Mail has this headline on page one. We must rescue Ghost Town Britain.

Well, of course you must rescue Ghost Town Britain.

I've been going on about it for ages.

They quote Caroline Fairbend, the Director General of the CBI,

who writes that getting people back into the offices of this country is as important as a return of children to school.

They are late to the party, but their support is nonetheless very welcome.

Of course, inside the paper, they provide a handy list of companies that are failing

in their duty to support the economy.

And they also put to the sword any ludicrous arguments put forward by the stay-at-home

brigade, who I've been arguing with for now for quite some time, who think we have to change

the way we all work.

The sort of people that say, oh, I don't want to go to work anymore. We don't have to. The world is changing. You're a dinosaur. I'll just sit at home in my underpants

and I'll do just as good a job as I do in the office. Well, guess what? No, you will not, actually.

Only yesterday, J.P. Morgan, the International Investment Bank admitted that their workers would be be allowed to work from home for a half the week for the rest of time. Let's start hitting these companies and hitting them hard. A tax should be invented like a fine for every employee

that they don't bring back to the office. This is now a critical problem for the economy

and it needs to be sorted out immediately. We had Richard Tyson last week who had the idea of actually taxing people who worked from home. I don't think

that's the way to go. I think the way to go is to start taxing the companies who do not bring
